Making some plans for the summer

Making some plans for the summer

With the coming of one of my favourite months, we can safely say that summer is almost upon us, and can start making plans for those hazy, lazy, crazy days (yes, I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed and keeping my tongue firmly in check as I make that statement, but after a winter filled with beasts, we are definitely due some beauty in the weather stakes). As I am typing this, the sun is shining and it really seems like a good time to put some plans into place that will make the forthcoming season productive and successful. There are certain things that are just better to do in summer, so I have rounded up some of those things. Sell Your Home Summer is a great time to sell your home. Your garden is in full bloom. The sun is shining which always makes everything look brighter and better, and for people who want to move, living out of boxes is so much easier when the sun is shining. The 6 most iconic T-shirts of all time

Walk down the street and you’d be hard pressed not to see at least one person (if not more) wearing a T-shirt. While the T-shirt has been and continues to be a popular fashion staple, it wasn’t always that way. In fact, according to Gizmodo, it’s only been worn as an outer garment for about 50 years. Since then, the smiley face has changed –...
A shoe lover’s appeal to fashion bloggers

A shoe lover’s appeal to fashion bloggers

Everyone has their ‘thing’ in fashion. For my mom, it’s bags. For my boyfriend, it’s watches. For me, surprisingly, it’s shoes. I say surprisingly because despite the fact that I have a wardrobe full of them I always end up wearing the same pair. It’s probably because my ideas of when and how to style them are quite limited — I always end up buying heels when I go shoe shopping, rather than shoes I can wear everyday! Just a small disclaimer, this post is dedicated to my love and hate affair with shoes. Maybe you can relate, maybe you think I’m just a God at rambling. But are shoes worth the investment? Where can we find comfort and style? My boyfriend, Jay, always says that you should invest in shoes and a good mattress. Because if you’re not asleep, you’re most likely on your feet (which isn’t actually true when you have an office job!). However, he has a point. My shoe wardrobe varies massively because I can’t seem to stick with one...

The health concerns of pimple popping

Pimples are a naturally occurring phenomenon that can inhabit any part of your body at random, sometimes in clusters and other times in lone specks. Some people are more susceptible to it and are constantly attacked by recurrences while others remain relatively safe. Sometimes a change in environment may trigger their appearance brought on by a change in geographical location or simply a change in weather. The hormonal changes at puberty might also be involved in bringing about an onset. Some people think acne and pimples are the same thing. They are not. A pimple is a hard, inflamed spot on your skin while acne is a broader term; a skin disease in which hair follicles are clogged with dead skin and sebum (skin oil) to create pimples. Since the human face contains a relatively high number of oil glands, this is usually the primary area of occurrence. Now, the treatment for acne is something that you need to consult your doctor for so...
