Tips on staying fit without a gym membership

Tips on staying fit without a gym membership

Hey Everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had great weeks! So a few days ago I posted a pic of me looking very hourglassy in a new PLT lingerie set. My body has gone through some changes since last summer. I haven’t had a gym membership since graduating from Royal Holloway and my obsession to workout everyday for longer than 60 minutes stopped as soon as all my deadlines were over (I think I prefer a fitness themed form of procrastination). I even have a gym no more than 200m from my new apartment, so I really have no excuse to not hit the gym and I actually bloody love going when I do. But I’ve been enjoying my fitness at my own pace, in different places and mixing it up a little bit. Counting your macro’s isn’t a diet although it can seem that way. It’s mathematically figuring out how many calories you body needs to bulk, maintain or lose weight. It then splits those up into ‘macros’ which are Carbs, Fats and Proteins. You can...
How I’ve finally started to improve my fitness

How I’ve finally started to improve my fitness

Towards the end of 2017, I really slipped when it came to fitness. I spent the majority of November eating, drinking, socialising, working, and going to bed late, and boy was it a fun couple of months! However, when you’re keen on working out and usually have the gym as a big part of your life, it’s inevitable that you’ll always carry that guilt around. I made a pact with myself in January – just a small one, not a new years resolution or anything – to pick it all back up for the new year. And you know what, I’ve really impressed myself! The first thing I did sounds a little silly, but I invested in new gym wear. I know I know, you don’t need to wear fancy outfits just to excel at the gym, and it’s definitely all about your mental attitude and strength...
How I got my pre pregnancy body back

How I got my pre pregnancy body back

I have spoken a few times about my pregnancy weight and post pregnancy body. I didn’t add on too much weight whilst pregnant with my twins, but I wanted to get rid of the extra pounds. It was not difficult to lose the weight. It just fell off after some months but I needed to tone my body back to shape, especially my tummy. A question I always asked myself is “how many pushups should I be able to do?” I needed to get my body back into shape quick and I was not sure how to go about it. The toning bit was hard and it took ages. I tried all sorts to get my tummy and body back to what it was pre pregnancy. It is not quite where it used to be but it is almost there. I feel I can (kind of) say I got my pre pregnancy body back. You never really get your body back after having a baby. It is one of those things that I don’t see ever really get back to normal. Not the inside or the outside. Bringing life to the world takes a lot out of us...
