Bad brushing

Never drag your brush or fine-toothed comb through your wet, tangled hair. This doesn’t fix the mess. It makes it prone to breakage and fallout!

What you can do: Replace your good ole’ brush with a wide-toothed comb. It can unravel all the knots without the pressure. Use a conditioner to reduce friction, making it easier for you to comb your hair.

Super tight hair ties

There’s nothing wrong with doing a simple ponytail or topknot to keep your tresses manageable. But, please, do not tie it too hard! Tight hair ties pull the strands and put pressure onto your scalp. This mistake results to annoying hair frizz and flyaways that are hard to control!

What you can do: Do not bind your hair tightly. A slightly loose ponytail is enough. If you find it hard to manage your long hair without elastics, it might be time to switch to a shorter hairstyle.

Styling too much

Your styling best friends such as blow dryers, flat irons, and curling wands actually remove moisture out of your hair strands. That makes your hair brittle, giving you split ends.
